Biking: Highlighted in the August, 2008 issue of Biking Magazine, Marquette County is becoming the premier Midwest destination for Mountain Bikers. Come up and enjoy our trails.

Kayaking/Canoeing: Whether you want to take a day trip or just head out for a couple of hours, there are plenty of opportunities to enjoy area rivers and lakes via canoe or kayak.

Bird Watching: The abundant wetlands surrounding CedarHurst provide ample opportunity for viewing a variety of birds. Take a trip to the Republic Wetlands Preserve for viewing of birds and crane rookeries.

Wildlife: This is moose, bear, and wolf country – although we can’t guarantee you will spot these elusive animals you can sure have fun trying. And don’t be alarmed by the night-time chorus of the area’s coyotes.

Nordic: With average annual snowfall exceeding 200 inches Marquette County is a winter wonderland. Visit Marquette Mountain, for downhill fun, enjoy cross-country skiing at CedarHurst and the other area trails, or strap on a pair on snowshoes and make your own trail.
