Activities

Spring

With the snow melt comes the opening of trout season.  Enjoy fishing the many U.P. streams and lakes supporting native trout, or venture to the feeder streams of Lake Superior for an opportunity to land trophy Steelhead and Brown trout during the Spring run. Whether you choose to venture out on your own or utilize one of our recommended guides, you are sure to enjoy the day on these remote, unspoiled lakes and rivers.

Summer

As the days get longer and the temperatures begin to rise, the Upper Peninsula becomes an ideal destination for area travelers. Visit CedarHurst Lodge to take advantage of the summer months where you can enjoy fishing, swimming, biking, hiking, boating and more. At the end of the day enjoy the private lakeside sauna and share in a game of darts, horseshoes, croquet, bocce ball and board games.

Fall

In the fall, enjoy the colors of the season with a kayak on the area lakes and rivers.  Hike and bike our maintained trail system and the Iron Ore Heritage Trail. Hunters will enjoy the 6 miles of woodland trails and our abundant population of ruffed grouse and whitetail deer.  Take the chill out in our wood-fired sauna and enjoyed evening chats in front of the fireplace.

Winter

Winter brings ice skating and fishing on Juncob Lake.  Take a ski on our 10 km of groomed trails, or put on your snowshoes and make your own trail.  Snowmobilers will enjoy direct access to the hundreds of miles of snowmobile trails.  With downhill skiing at Marquette Mountain only 30 miles away and special winter events and festivals such as the UP 200 dog sled race and Noquemanon ski marathon, you are sure to have a unique and relaxing Northwoods adventure.
